Social networks & cookies

Cookies are files stored on your computer by websites that you visit.

Cookies store information such as your preferred language or other personal website settings. If you visit the same website again, your browser sends the stored cookie information back to the site. This enables the site to show you information that has been personalised to you.
We use this widely available technology for several reasons:

  • To make the websites easier and more user-friendly.
  • To gather and analyse statistical data on website usage, so that we can analyse and improve usage of our services.

Vimeo
Our website has integrated plugins provided by video portal Vimeo, which is operated by Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA as a communication channel and a positive external presentation of our company. When you visit a page of our website that contains a social plugin, your browser makes a direct connection to the Vimeo servers. The content of the plugin is transferred from Vimeo directly to your browser, which then embeds it into the website. Through the integrated plugin, Vimeo receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Vimeo account or are not currently logged in to Vimeo. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Vimeo server in the US and stored there.
If you are logged into Vimeo, Vimeo can link your visit to our website directly to your Vimeo account. If you interact with the plugins (e.g. by clicking the start button on a video), this information is also transmitted directly to a Vimeo server and stored there.
If you do not want Vimeo to associate any data collected via our website with your Vimeo account, you should log out of Vimeo before you visit our website.

Please see Vimeo's privacy policies for the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Vimeo, as well as your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy: https://vimeo.com/privacy.

The Google Analytics tracking tool is automatically integrated into videos from Vimeo that are integrated on our website. This is Vimeo's own tracking, to which we have no access and over which we have no control. For tracking, Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer to help analyse your use of the website. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there.

The described data processing operations are carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DS-GVO on the basis of Vimeo's legitimate interest in market research and the demand-oriented design of the service.

We integrate videos with the "Do Not Track" variant via Vimeo on our website, so that only minimal personal data is transmitted to Vimeo. Nevertheless, it could be possible that Google Analytics tracking is automatically integrated (see above). This is Vimeo's own tracking, we do no have no access to and which may not be influenced by us. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies" for tracking, that are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

These processing operations are carried out exclusively when explicit consent is given in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a DS-GVO.
For users and visitors to our website, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO is the legal basis for transmission of technical necessary data to Vimeo. In order to ensure an adequate level of data protection for transferring data to the USA, we concluded EU standard contractual clauses with Vimeo in the "controller to controller" variant. Vimeo continues to comply with the obligations under the Privacy Shield agreement.

YouTube (videos)
We have integrated YouTube components on this website as a communication channel and a positive external presentation of our company. YouTube is an online video portal that allows video publishers to freely place video clips and allows other to view, rate and comment on videos free of charge. YouTube allows the publication of all types of videos. Both full film and television broadcasts as well as music videos, trailers and user-generated videos are available via the online portal.

YouTube is operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Each time a visitor opens an individual page of the website run by us and on which a YouTube component (YouTube video) is integrated, the YouTube component in question will trigger the browser on your IT system to download a representation of the corresponding YouTube component from YouTube. Additional information on YouTube can be found at https://www.youtube.com/yt/about/. As part of this technical process, YouTube and Google will receive information about the specific sub-page of our website you visit.

If the data subject is logged onto YouTube at the same time as they visit our website, YouTube identifies the specific sub-page of our website your visit when a sub-page containing a YouTube video is accessed. This information is collected through YouTube and Google and assigned to your YouTube account.

Through the YouTube component, YouTube and Google receive information that you have visited our website whenever you are logged in to YouTube at the same time as accessing our website, regardless of whether you click on a YouTube video or not. If you do not want this information transferred to YouTube and Google, you can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before visiting our website.

These processing operations only take place if express consent is granted in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1(a) GDPR.

YouTube's privacy policy, available at https://www.google.com/intl/gb/policies/privacy/, provides information on the collection, processing and use of personal data by YouTube and Google.

etracker (cookieless or with consent):

This website uses the etracker analysis service. The provider is etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany.

With etracker, we can analyse the behaviour of our website visitors. For this purpose, etracker collects, among other things, your shortened IP address, geographic information (maximum city level), log files and other information that your browser transmits to our web server when you call up the website. This allows us to measure website interactions such as dwell time, conversions (e.g. sign-ups, orders), scroll events, clicks and page views of the website visitor. These interactions are attributed to the website visitor for the duration of the current day so that they can be recognised on subsequent visits. After the end of the day, visitor recognition is no longer possible.

Without your consent, no cookies are stored in your browser and no information is read from the memory of your terminal device. The cookie-free use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising. The rights and fundamental freedoms of the data subjects are preserved. The IP address is anonymised as soon as possible during the analysis with etracker and visitor recognition is possible for the duration of the current day at the most.
Insofar as a corresponding consent has been requested and granted, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 Para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Deactivating etracker (Opt-Out)
You can prevent the collection of your visit data by etracker by deactivating it using the following setting. In the event of deactivation, an opt-out cookie will be set which will prevent the collection of your visit data during future visits to this website. Please note that this opt-out cookie is only valid for 365 days, only applies to this browser and may be deleted when you delete cookies in your browser.

Order data processing
We have concluded a contract on order processing (AVV) with the above-mentioned provider. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that the provider only processes the personal data of our website visitors in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

Google Maps:
We use Google Maps (API) on our website, provided through Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive maps to visually display geographic information. For example, by using this service, you can view our location and make it easier for you to reach us.

When you access sub-pages in which a Google Maps map is integrated, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transferred to Google's servers in the US and stored there. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account that you are logged in to or whether you have no user account with them at all. When you are logged in to Google, your information will be directly associated with your account. If you do not want your profile associated with Google, you will need to log out of your Google account. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and analysis it. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact Google to exercise this right.

If you do not agree with the future transmission of your data to Google as part of your use of Google Maps, you have the option of completely deactivating the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. You will then be unable to use Google Maps and therefore the map displayed on this website.

These processing operations only take place if express consent is granted in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1(a) GDPR.
The Google terms of use can be found at https://www.google.com/policies/terms/regional.html, and the additional Google Maps terms of use can be found at https://www.google.com/help/terms_maps/.

Detailed information on data protection with respect to the use of Google Maps is available on Google’s website ("Google Privacy Policy"): https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

Newsletters

You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. The input screen determines which personal data are shared with us when subscribing to the newsletter.
We use our newsletter to regularly communicate our offers to our customers and business partners at regular intervals by means of a newsletter about new products, special promotions, job offers, or company news. You can, therefore, only receive our company’s newsletter if

1. you have a valid email address and
2. have registered for the newsletter.

For legal reasons, as part of the double opt-in procedure a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided when registering for the newsletter. This confirmation email is sent to check if you are the holder of the email address and have authorised the newsletter.
When you register for the newsletter we also save the IP address used by your IT system at the time of registration, which is issued by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration. We must collect this data to investigate any (possible) misuse of your email address at a later stage and it is therefore lawful for the purposes of our security.

The personal data collected during registration are used solely for sending our newsletter. Furthermore, subscribers to the newsletter may receive information via email if this is required in order to administer the newsletter service for registration purposes, which may be the case if our newsletter is amended or technical circumstances change. Personal data collected for our newsletter service are not shared with third parties. You may terminate your subscription to our newsletter at any time. You can at any time withdraw your consent to the storage of the personal data you shared during registration. A link is provided in each newsletter to allow you to withdraw your consent. It is also possible to unsubscribe from our newsletter directly through the website or to contact us in another manner.

The legal basis for data processing for the purposes of sending a newsletter is article 6, paragraph 1 lit. a GDPR.
This website uses CleverReach to send newsletters. The provider is CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede. CleverReach is a service which enables the management and analysis of newsletters. The data you have provided for the newsletter (e.g. email address) are saved on CleverReach servers in Germany and/or Ireland.

We can analyse the behaviour of newsletter recipients by sending newsletters through CleverReach. Examples of analyses include determining how many recipients have opened the newsletter email and how often they have clicked on certain links contained within the newsletter. Conversion Tracking can also be used to analyse if clicking on the link led to a pre-determined action (e.g. if a product was purchased on our website). For further information on the analysis of data by the CleverReach newsletter, please visit: https://www.cleverreach.com/en/features/reporting-tracking/.

The legal basis for data processing is your consent (Article 6 Paragraph 1(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of data processing carried out previously.

If you do not want CleverReach to perform the data analysis, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this in each newsletter. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on our website.

The consent given by you can be withdrawn at any time. You can also prevent the processing at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. You can also prevent the storage of cookies by setting your web browser accordingly. Also, disabling Java Script in your web browser or installing a Java Script Blocker (such as https://noscript.net or https://www.ghostery.com) may prevent you from storing and transferring personal information. We point out that through these measures may no longer all the features of our website are available.

We will store your personal data which we retain for the purposes of sending the newsletter until you are removed from the newsletter service and they will be deleted from our servers and the CleverReach servers after you have unsubscribed from the newsletter. Data we retain for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members’ area) shall remain unaffected.

For further information, please refer to CleverReach’s privacy policy at: https://www.cleverreach.com/en/privacy-policy/.

We do not knowingly gather personal data about minors. If we become aware that we have gathered personal data concerning a minor, we erase this data. If you believe that this is the case, please contact us.

Storage period

We only process and store personal data as long as necessary in order to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or unless this is required by law. In general, the purpose for which personal data is processed ends when your contract finishes or when the legal retention period expires.
